What was the Wang Theatre at the Boch Center called before?

The Wang Theatre at the Boch Center first opened its doors in 1925 and was called the Metropolitan Theatre, as it was known for 30 years thereafter. The landmark venue then changed its name to the Music Hall, and later to the Metropolitan Center.

The building was taken over in the early 1980s and was re-branded the Wang Theatre at the Boch Center, as it’s still known today.

Is there food and drink at the Wang Theatre?

Yes, there are concession stations located in the lobby of the theater that serve food, drink, and non-alcoholic beverages. You can bring food and drink into the theater if purchased at the concession station, but you aren’t allowed to bring outside food and drink into the auditorium. 

If food and drink from either inside or outside the theater are not permitted, you will be advised prior to the performance.

There are 3,600 seats and five different seating sections at the Wang Theatre at the Boch Center. The best seats in the house depend on what type of performance you are going to see. If you are watching an intimate theater production, then you might want to sit within the Orchestra as this section is closest to the stage. However, if you want a view across the entire auditorium, then the Mezzanine seats might be best. You will get a specific seating chart when you book your tickets.
