Shen Yun Performing Arts at Wang Theatre

Stand awestruck as ancient China's histories unfold in a breathtaking commemoration brimming with passion, color, and spirituality. Shen Yun — the globe's top music and dance organization — has finalized this year’s calendar of shows across dozens of the country's most prestigious stadiums, including the Wang Theater At The Boch Center on Thursday 3rd April 2025!

Before the era of Communist reign, 5000 YEARS of legends, arts, and culture flourished in each region of the Chinese mainland, and year in and year out, the New York City-based Shen Yun breathes life into these enduring treasures for all to enjoy! This year will be the same.

Celestial gods walking across the earth. Vast grasslands streaked by Mongolian horse-riding nomads. And the wartime valor of lionhearted warriors. Shen Yun’s annual shows center around the innumerable legends and parables that crossed Chinese regimes, artistically depicting their romances and tragedies with principles from Taoist and Buddhist creeds to polish each story.

The upcoming production will exhibit 20 narrative sections of ethereal performances in roughly 2 hours. Classically instructed dancers decked in delightfully colorful costumes will take to the floor, narrating the show’s stories with 17 to 18 complex folk dance pieces. In addition, 2 to 3 instrumental and vocal solos will punctuate these episodes with soaring harmonies — both original and traditional.

An accompanying orchestra will perform rousing music throughout the event, seamlessly uniting Chinese and Western instruments. In regard to stagecraft, Shen Yun employs a high-tech virtual background to display animated scenarios, drawing viewers into the expanse of ancient Chinese civilizations in a jaw-dropping fashion.

During the run's visit to Boston, Massachusetts, the world-class Wang Theater At The Boch Center will open as host. Its renowned stage, honored by dozens of the past decades’ biggest performers, will lay the base for the second to none show, enhancing it further with clear sight lines, pristine light setups, and perfectly balanced acoustics.
