The sounds of the silence of retirement did not sit well with one of the world’s most respected singer-songwriters - he is still the man with the golden vocal chords and the poetry, and the flame of love for making music burned too hot. Now, seven years later, the only ‘sounds of silence’ there will be, are the ones of him singing the notes of the beloved song.
Paul Simon is back on the road again, and will be bringing a musical palette of many colours and shades to audiences across the nation. Due to the severe hearing loss the rock giant incurred over the last few years, the performances are slated to take place in intimate venues where the acoustics are optimal. The ‘A Quiet Celebration’ tour is slated to kick off in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the start of April 2025, with stops in Denver, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco among others, wrapping up in Seattle, Washington, at the start of August 2025. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is set to perform multiple nights in most cities, playing songs from ‘Seven Psalms’ for the first time, alongside his most beloved and iconic hits.
The curtain has definitely not gone down on Paul Simon. If anything, it just keeps rising higher and higher. With his exceptional musical prowess, the sixteen-time Grammy Award winner keeps reinventing the old classics, and is bound to pepper every performance with some new songs, guaranteed to be rapturously received by an audience rising to their feet to honour one of the very best. Paul Simon is currently ranked as the 8th on the list of the Greatest Songwriters of All Time, is a Grammy Hall of Fame inductee, and was named by Time as one of the ‘100 People Who Shaped the World’.
The intimate design of the legendary 3,500-seat Wang Theatre is ideal for an up close and personal night with Paul Simon. With its stunning architecture, superb acoustics, and seating spread across the orchestra floor, orchestra boxes, mezzanine, and balcony, you are in for one of the greatest evenings of your life!
There are some things in life you’ll never forget - and Paul Simon in concert is one of them. So don’t wait, get your tickets now!
