Shen Yun Performing Arts at Wang Theatre

Shen Yun — today's unrivaled dance company — has confirmed 2025's schedule of shows throughout dozens of North America’s most esteemed theaters, including the Wang Theater At The Boch Center on Friday 4th April 2025!

Long before the age of Communism, FIVE MILLENNIA of legends, arts, and culture thrived in each region of the Chinese mainland, and year after year, the NYC-based Shen Yun brings these timeless treasures back to life for everyone to cherish! 2025 is no exception.

Divine gods treading across the earth. Infinite grasslands streaked by nomadic hordes of Mongols. And battleground heroics of dauntless soldiers. Shen Yun’s seasonal performances revolve around the many fables and epics that transcended Chinese empires, creatively depicting their fortunes and calamities with principles from Buddhist and Taoist creeds to complete each story.

The upcoming presentation will feature 20 story sections of ethereal performances in roughly two hours. Classically instructed dancers dressed in strikingly decorated costumes will flutter through the floor, narrating the event’s tales with 17 or 18 elaborate folk dance pieces. In addition, 2 or 3 vocal and instrumental solos will accentuate these episodes with invigorating melodies — traditional and original alike.

An accompanying orchestra will perform sweeping music throughout the show, inventively incorporating Chinese and Western instrumentation. In regard to staging, Shen Yun makes use of a state-of-the-art virtual background to render immersive scenes, pulling audiences into the realm of ancient China in a spectacular fashion.

For the trip's stop in Boston, Massachusetts, the iconic Wang Theater At The Boch Center will open as host. Its gorgeous stage, favored by many of the past century's greatest acts, will set the base for the stunning event, elevating it further with splendid sights, immaculate lighting, and perfectly balanced acoustics.
